Screenwriter and director Karin Venhauer graduated from the Miroslav Ondříček Film Academy in Písek, and completed a course for director assistants and AD system at ISFF Berlin with Jürgen Tröster and Monika Schopp. In 2010, she wrote a screenplay for the full-length feature film Illusion based on the books Anastasia, The Ringing Cedars of Russia and The Space of Love by Vladimir Megre. In 2013, she wrote a screenplay for the full-length feature film Lord. She has made several short documentaries, journalistic programmes, reports, video clips, and short films, receiving numerous awards. Since 2008, she has been working on the project Sala’s Gift, ranking among the best in the Czech Republic. Karin became a delegate to the One Young World Summit 2012 Pittsburgh. She participated in the OYW Summit 2016 Ottawa for two successfully completed projects featuring the dissident Zdeněk Trnka’s music.
